Engineers, Inc. (IEEE); Active Member of the New York Academy of Sciences (NYAS);
Attendent at serveral working groups in IEC
and CLC; Author of numerous
professional publications; Speaker at the Economic Promotion Institute of the
Economic Chambers in Austria and lecturer at post-secondary educational
institutions.
Born
1958 in Vienna, he studied physics at the Technical University Vienna, special
field: experimental physics. He started his professional activities as
cooperator at research projects of solid-state physics as well as at lectures
and at practice oriented exercises in the field of basic physics.
One year
after scientific activities of technical education and advanced training, he
attended the technical department at the federal Guild of Electrical Contractors.
Within these activities he was especially concerned with the elaboration and
realization of the contents of National, European and International
Electrotechnical Standards and regulations.
As from
1988 he worked intensively (within the research team of Prof. Dr. G. Biegelmeier)
at the research of the effect of electrical shock on men and on domestic animals,
as well as at the elaboration of basic knowledge of the contents of
eletrotechnical regulations for the construction of electrical low voltage
switchgear and residual current breakers technology. In the course of seminars
and lectures as well as of problem analysis he is continously discussing the
latest status of the electrotechnical regulations with experts of trade and
industry.
From
1991 to 1993 he was in charge of Product Mangement for switchgear and
distribution boards at the EH-Schrack Components Relais- and Schaltgeräte Ltd.,
from 1993 to 1994 he is acting as Technical Manager of the EH-Schrack Components
AG. From October, 1st 1994 he acts as Technical Director of the Felten &
Guilleaume Austria AG.; in January, 1st 1997 he becomes member of the
board of this company, with the worldwide responsibilities for R&D and
production. After the renaming of the company in Moeller Building Automation he
continues his work as one of the two members of the board till the end of 2001.
He
founded his own company, diamconsult, in the last days of 2001 dealing
with international consulting and research activities in the field of protective
measures and system- and risk analysis methods.
